I'm a photographer currently based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and available for travel! I've spent the last few years traveling the world as a photographer, journalist, and policy researcher and am now back in America documenting my favorite people, movements, and cities. You can usually find me biking (very slowly) with a completely disregard for traffic laws (sorry, drivers!) while listening to a bhangra mix on my purple headphones. I'm probably on my way to dance practice, to try a new food, or pet a cat.

I've also been called:
I love stories. I love hearing them, on a podcast or in one of the dozens of shows I serial-watch on Netflix (ask me about the time I watched 14 seasons of Grey's Anatomy in one summer). I love telling them even more, whether I'm performing stories of Indian mythology through movement as a dancer or illustrating the joy of a little girl on Christmas Eve on my violin in an orchestra. But my favorite stories to tell are those of the experiences, people, and things I love.
In a complicated world, too often stories get written about all of us without our consent due to our skin color, gender, ability, religion, or passport. I want to take that power back. As the world moves faster and digital media reigns supreme, it's more crucial then ever to take a moment to capture who we are in this moment with imagery that will remain timeless. Whatever you want to tell the world about yourself, I'd love to help you do it through photography.

Kiran is a lovely photographer to work with. I'm not a person who is very comfortable in front of the camera, but Kiran was great at giving me gentle direction and I still felt like I looked like myself in each photo. She is positive and fun and makes the experience of being photographed a very pleasant one. The portraits she took of me were professional, beautiful, and made me look my best. The Community Action Bureau hired Kiran to photograph our end- of-year community celebration and her photographs truly captured vibrant moments between Harris students and partners from the community. Kiran knew exactly what we would want for the organization and she shot photos that we will continue to use for publicity materials throughout the year.
